Type Train Trivia

A One-time podcasting venture

Overview: Crafting a successful design aimed at creating an identity for a Podcast.

Type Train Trivia, a podcast with a single episode that revolves around answering questions surrounding typography in a trivia show-styled format. With this context, I was tasked with developing a logo that would represent the episode while both going along with the theming and the subject matter. To do this, I developed a logo that represents the “train” aspect of the title while also developing my own typeface that I would use and edit to shape as needed.

Beta Designs

Before I was able to create the design above, a bit of ideation needed to be done. Because of the limited timeframe of the project, I only created eleven iterations before deciding on what would become the final product. All I knew going into my beta design process is I wanted the acronym of the alliteration represented and I wanted to add an aspect of a train into it as it sounded like a fun challenge. In the designs here you can actually see the changes in the name of the podcast as it used to just be called “Typography Train” which only has two Ts. Aspects were changed accordingly.
